Kaleidoscope Obervation Tips to Remember

1. EVERYONE has some of ALL four DISC traits/colors.

2. Some traits have more color or shaded area. These larger regions indicate a person's strengths where he or she is most naturally comfortable.

3. Some traits have less color or shaded area. Smaller regions indicate areas for possible personal growth and development.

4. Colors that overlap and mix together indicate our Personality Style BLEND.

5. We tend to be more comfortable operating in the shaded regions.

6. We tend to be less comfortable operating in the unshaded (white) regions.

7. Unshaded/white regions reflect possible blind spots and often hold the SECRET to our SUCCESS in life. Blind spots are areas where we tend to lack awareness and understanding. These regions tend to reflect behaviors where we are least comfortable. DISC helps us gain awareness and learn to adapt our behavior to what is needed in a given situation. Our awareness combined with practice and maturity helps us to become more comfortable adapting in ALL FOUR traits as needed.

8. The DISC bar graph levels are reflected in the Kaleidoscope. The higher the bar graph level, the larger the shaded area for that trait. The smaller the bar graph level, the smaller the shaded area for that trait.

Example: The green bar graph level for the D trait is reflected by the green shaded area that is in the top left quadrant of the circle. The D shaded region in the Kaleidoscope has a base that starts in the upper-left region of the circle and whose height grows inward toward the center of the circle in proportion to the bar graph level.
